Legal Space Case: A Sexy Devil Must Be Appeased
The devil made me do it! In this TNG episode, Devil's Due, the devil wants many people to do it - that is, pay up! Her name is Ardra (Marta Dubois), and she's convinced a world that she's a dark, ancient force demanding payment. Payment, according to her, is basically becoming ruler of the entire planet.
There have been many depictions of the dark side of the cosmos. In scores of movies, the devil, Satan or the fallen angel has been portrayed in many ways and by many actors. Here on Next Generation, the actress is definitely one of the sexier ones to take on the legendary and infamous mantle of a dark overlord. Trivia Note: Actresses Stella Stevens and Adrienne Barbeau were both considered for the devilish role of Ardra before actress Marta Dubois finally snagged the plum part.
