Star Trek 4 To Feature Thor's Chris Hemsworth

All you Thor fans and Trekkies out there are in for a treat.  Actor Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in The Avengers movies and his own solo installments, will be reprising his role as Captain Kirk's dad in the next J.J. Abram's produced Star Trek flick.

Carol Burnett Captain Of The Enterprise

Comedy has always played a big, even vital part in Gene Roddenberry's Wagon Train To The Stars.  So, there's not much surprise to find many great spoofs focusing on Star Trek.  One of the best, but unfortunately, least seen of them all is Carol Burnett strutting around as a decidedly changed James T. Kirk.  Set phasers on fun!

Cosmic Captain Clash - Kirk Vs Picard

Will it ever end?  Captain Kirk or Captain Picard?  Jean-Luc or James Tiberius?  Shatner or Stewart?

Opinions on this topic vary like the energy frequency on a modified phaser, but at least someone made a t-shirt to support their argument. Now, if they would only bring out a pro Picard version.

Captain Kirk's Got The Look

Captain Kirk's got that look.  In the original series episode, Shore Leave, Kirk and the Enterprise crew encounter a Disney like planet full of amusements.  However, this alien planetary romp isn't without its risks.  After more than a few close shaves, Kirk finds time to reminisce about softer moments with a long lost love.

Kirk - The Most Interesting Captain In Starfleet

Captain Kirk means many things to many people.  He's a brave, resourceful Starship captain - one of the most decorated in all of Starfleet.  Alien races have lionized him and demonized him.  The Klingons, in particular, have a special place in their collective hearts for this daring human being.  Woman all over the galaxy have his personal communicator code.  He's the most interesting man in the United Federation Of Planets.

He also seems to go shirtless quite a lot.

William Shatner On His Bromance With Leonard Nimoy

Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock go together like milk and cookies or Han and Luke.  With the passing of Leonard Nimoy, that iconic pair has finally been separated.  Leonard's co-star and longtime friend William Shatner, has written a tribute book detailed their unique friendship.  Sadly at the end of Nimoy's life, the actor stopped talking to his former starship Captain.  Why?  You'll have to buy the book to find out.
