A First Officer Is Always Number One

Riker Sets His Beard Like His Phaser

Starfleet phasers have many power settings for many uses.  For Commander Will Riker's beard, there really is only one setting that he swears by.

Imzadi - The Betazoid Concept Of Beloved

Of all the many alien races depicted on the various Star Trek shows and in the movies, those of the planet Betazed may be the most romantic one of all.  The Deltans - first seen in ST: The Motion Picture - could be considered the most sexual, but for the similarly telepathic and empathetic Betazoids, there's a concept they call Imazdi - translated basically as one's beloved.

In The Next Generation, Counselor Deanna Troi calls her new crewmate Will Riker her Imzadi - right off the bat in the pilot, Encounter As Farpoint.  These two were romantically linked before their tour of duty on Captain Picard's Galaxy class starship, and that blazing romantic torch song never really ended. By the time of their marriage in Star Trek: Nemesis, Riker and Troi have seen the ups and downs of a romance which could only be properly encapsulated by the concept of Imzadi.  Interesting note:  A platonic love or deep friendship can also be characterized as Imzadi.

Riker's Rep

So, I went looking for a few Riker memes.  Here's what I found.

OK - I'll just put it right here.  No need for further commentary.  This guy is 2nd in command of Starfleet's flagship.  Yep.

Riker Feels Pretty

Starfleet members are professionals.  They are expected to do whatever it takes to see that their important mission is carried out efficiently and completely.  In the Next Generation episode, Angel One, Commander Riker really takes one for the team.

Oh, Commander Riker, don't you look pretty!

Alien Abductions On Picard's Starship

Captain Picard's crew are the focus of creepy alien abductions.  Alien? You got it.  Like UFO's?  Little Green Men?  In this case, big hooded, and weirdly clicking men.

As the crew realize the truth of their dire predicament, they successfully fight back.  Schisms remains one of the spookiest Next Generation episodes to ever air.

Rosalyn Landor - Feet Washing Can Be Sexy

Like getting your feet washed?  I don't mean in the bath doing it all by your lonesome self.  I mean foot washing as a communal activity.  Ever have a loved one wash your feet?  According to one of the sexiest guest stars on Star Trek: The Next Generation, washing a partner's feet can bring on a whole new romantic activity.  Pedicure and love making?  Pretty much.

Rosalyn Landor played the sexy Brenna Odell on the second season episode, Up The Long Ladder. Landor is a popular British actress - known more now for her great voice over work in audio books and animation, for Disney, Random House and audible.com.  In the fun romp, Brenna tells Will Riker that foot washing has a definite skill set and structure - one must start at the top and work their way down.  I wonder how much of that advice Number One applied in his romantic relationship with Counselor Troi.

Riker Is A Man Who Uses Enterprise Tech In Surprising Ways

Leave it to William T. Riker.  He's a man with a sneaky plan.  Captain Picard's Number One uses the fantastic technology of the Enterprise's Trek universe in so many wonderful ways.  This meme proves Riker is a man who truly loves using the transporter, but not in any normal Starfleet way. Regulations? They aren't in the poker playing cards for good, ole rebel WTR!

What's next, Will?  More silly practical jokes?  Worf loses his uniform pants during the teaching of his Klingon martial arts class? Are you going to use that nifty matter replication device to put hair back on Jean-Luc's bald dome?  Is Mr. LaForge helping you out? Data? Captain Picard will now shout, 'Engage - my new hair!'

Hologram Hotness

What's a knockout like you doing in a computer generated gin joint like this?  Not a bad come on line, and when brazenly delivered by the Enterprise D's Cmdr. Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes) to a holographic honey named Minuet, it's quite fitting.

Hot holograms?  Minuet could be elected the spokesperson for the group.

Minuet would be so convincing in her alluring realism, that when Riker was abducted and snared into an even more advanced holographic environment than his Starship's holodeck (Future Imperfect), his captor believed she was the real deal.

The captivating Minuet embodied the classic love story complete with a most poignant ending.  Although not flesh and blood, for Will Riker, the sexy Minuet became the unforgettable girl who not only got away, but who never really was in the first place.

Star Trek Sexy Episode - Next Generation - Up The Long Ladder

Commander Riker never got the girl as much as Captain Kirk, but he still didn't do all that badly in the romance department.  During the 2nd season of Next Generation, in the episode, Up The Long Ladder, Riker (Jonathan Frakes) is propositioned by a lovely gal named Brenna.  He doesn't exactly put up a fight, but in the end he gets to the business of - ahem - foot washing.  "You generally start at the top, and work your way down.", Brenna advises him, and rest assured, cleaner feet are the result.

Borg Queen (Alice Krige) VS Borg Queen (Susanna Thompson)

They Are The One Who Is Many - They Are The Borg.  The Borg Queen was originally fleshed out by Alice Krige in the film, Star Trek: First Contact (directed by Jonathan Frakes), then played by Susanna Thompson on Star Trek: Voyager.  In a real world monarchy, there may not be enough room for two ruling Queens, but in the Trek universe, we have two Borg Queens who sit on the throne at various times.

Both actresses embodied the enigma which is hallmark of the creepy cybernetic marauders.  The Borg are rampaging technology thieves who will stop at nothing to acquire more gadgets.  Their queen is the most valuable gadget of them all - she is the one who brings order to chaos.

Alice Krige - The Borg Queen - Sexiest Borg Mom of Star Trek

I am the beginning... the end... the one who is many.  I am the Borg.  Alice Krige is The Borg Queen of Star Trek.

South African actress Alice Krige fleshed out the seductive temptress The Borg Queen in the feature film Star Trek: First Contact, directed by Jonathan Frakes - Will Riker himself.  She time warped back to the past to wreck havoc on Earth, tried to stop Zephram Cochrane's historic first warp drive launch and almost assimilated the crew of Captain Picard's (Locutus) Enterprise into her Borg brood.

She very nearly succeeded in tempting Data with the pleasures of the flesh - if only for a scant few microseconds.
