Leslie Parrish - Lt. Carolyn Palamas
In the original STAR TREK episode, Who Mourns for Adonais?, the character of Lt. Carolyn Palamas is played by the lovely Leslie Parrish. Parrish is a veteran actress of dozens of TV shows and feature films, including the classic political thriller, The Manchurian Candidate, starring the legendary Frank Sinatra.
Lt. Palamas catches the eye and fancy of none other than the Greek god Apollo, played by Michael Forest. Palamas must walk a fine line of adhering to her Starfleet duty, while not angering a powerful entity who claims to be the ancient Greek god. Imagine - you are the romantic focus of a being who can project enormous hands to reach out and grab the awesomely powered Starship Enterprise? It's clear such a relationship would be raher one sided - unless the gifts of Apollo granted Palamas similar goddess like wonders.

It Is Green
In the Next Generation episode, Relics, Scotty, played by James Doohan, asks Data (Brent Spiner) what he's drinking, while they hang out together in the Ten Forward lounge. Barkeep Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) isn't around, and Data doesn't know the answer, so he simply answers, "It is green."
For Netflix users, all of TNG is now available on the streaming service in glorious HD! The color of Scotty's green booze has never looked more vibrant and inviting - no matter what it is he's actually drinking. Check it out!

The Love Of Science Fiction - Love & Sex in Sci-Fi
Space... The final frontier... The cosmos.... it's a really, really big place. They say the most important question we can ask ourselves as a species is: Are we alone? Well, it's certainly no fun to be alone, at least all the time. Like the sci-fi movie Contact (based on Carl Sagan's novel) promotes: If we are all alone, it seems like an awful waste of space. In Ridley Scott's Alien, they say, In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream. Scream - from what, the desperation of loneliness?
Being all alone - even on a crowded planet - is definitely not much fun either. Fans of Star Trek know that Captain Kirk (William Shatner) wasn't the kind of guy to be lonely for very long. He may have been a bit too amorous for some of the more prudish among us, but compared to say James Bond, or the devilish Han Solo (Harrison Ford), James T. Kirk wasn't so unusual. Kirk's crew is also no stranger to the poetry of love, or even the lustful leanings of plain, old fashioned sex. From Spock to Scotty, Chekov to Uhura, the Enterprise crew knew that partnering up during those demanding space voyages was not only healthy, but downright logical.

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight - Romulan Commander - Joanne Linville
Star Trek had many a memorable guest star turning in an unforgettable performance as a great character, but most of them had, well, names. In the classic original series episode, The Enterprise Incident, Joanne Linville played a seductive Romulan Commander of the ship targeted for a top secret mission - by the James Bond and Jason Bourne like duo of Captain Kirk and Spock.
Linville has had a respected Hollywood career, but her turn as the mysterious Romulan who tries to seduce Spock is one of the most memorable. Her character's name is never revealed in the episode, however, at one point she does whisper it into Spock's ear, who replies with, "How rare, and how beautiful. But so incongruous when spoken by a soldier."

Mudd's Women - The Sexy Love Potion of Gene Roddenberry's Original Star Trek
One of the most compelling episodes of original Star Trek is Mudd's Women. Introducing Harry Mudd - who'd later guest in another memorable ep, I, Mudd - the tale dealt in the raw sexuality of 3 women. Harry was a con man, flim flam man or pimp - depending on your point of view - and he 'managed' three beautiful women in their social skills.
The tale posits the notion of these gals - escorts, companions, prostitutes, geisha, or all of them combined - mentored by the ever clever and profiteering Mudd. Harry Mudd's women took an aphrodisiac substance called the Venus Drug - making them alluring to men.
