Star Trek: Into Darkness star Zoe Saldana loves science fiction. That the actress picked to take over the iconic role made famous by Nichelle Nichols is a big fan herself assures other fans the franchise is in safe hands. Saldana grew up with a trekkie mother and loving movies like The Terminator and Blade Runner. These days, she sits on the bridge of Starfleet's flagship starship - the Enterprise. None other than Martin Luther King Jr. talked her out of leaving the series.
