Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: Kellin - Virginia Madsen
Captain Janeway's Voyager kept up the trek back home from the Delta Quadrant to the Alpha Quadrant for seven seasons. Along the way, Kate Mulgrew (Orange Is The New Black) and her crew encountered bizarre, sexy aliens and some familiar, yet frightening faces like the rampaging Borg. One of the most unforgettable - in the episode of the same name - was Kellin played by actress Virginia Madsen.
Madsen has had quite a memorable acting career, and she was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the 2004 film, Sideways, co-starring Paul Giamatti (Private Parts) and Thomas Hayden Church. Kellin's people had the peculiar ability to make all others forget about their very existence, after only a few short hours of meeting them. Talk about not making an impression!

Star Trek loves to showcase the bad guys and gals. From Khan (Ricardo Montalban) to Kang (Michael Ansara) and Sybok (Laurence Luckinbill) to the Borg Queen (Alice Krige), the universe that producer Gene Roddenberry created way back in 1966 loves to give us a few black hat wearing villains to mightily mix things up. Star Trek Sexy Spotlight - Romulan Commander - Joanne Linville
Star Trek had many a memorable guest star turning in an unforgettable performance as a great character, but most of them had, well, names. In the classic original series episode, The Enterprise Incident, Joanne Linville played a seductive Romulan Commander of the ship targeted for a top secret mission - by the James Bond and Jason Bourne like duo of Captain Kirk and Spock.
Linville has had a respected Hollywood career, but her turn as the mysterious Romulan who tries to seduce Spock is one of the most memorable. Her character's name is never revealed in the episode, however, at one point she does whisper it into Spock's ear, who replies with, "How rare, and how beautiful. But so incongruous when spoken by a soldier."

Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Headset Charts Star Trek Voyager Bridge
Star Trek used the incredible holodeck for fun, exploring, simulation and experimentation. Now, we have Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Headset to explore Star Trek: Voyager.
Although still not commercially available as a product, the Oculus Rift may also allow users to explore Game Of Thrones or Jerry Seinfeld's apartment. In the demo available for viewing on YouTube, one can stroll around Captain Janeway's starship bridge - as the ship's various stations blink and beep merrily. But don't be lulled into a false sense of security - before you know it, Red Alerts sound and a frantic battle scene grips the Intrepid Class Starship.

Cosmic Feast - Alien Foods and Drink of Star Trek
Star Trek always knows how to party like it's 2399. Food and drink are as varied and wonderfully exotic as the many alien races who create the incredible dishes. These marvelous morsels come from every corner of the galaxy - and then some. Choose from Romulan Ale (though it's illegal in Federation space) from those secretive and deceptive Vulcan cousins, or maybe Klingon Gagh (bloodworms) are more your fantastic feasting style. Wash it down with a steaming mug of Raktajino - strong Klingon coffee with a dash of liquer - and you're all set for any starship, space station or starbase party.

The Wonderful World of Star Trek Sports
Star Trek is all about the exploring - seeing what's out there - seeking out new life, and new civilizations. It's exciting work, but sometimes in any occupation, boredom can grip a crew. Since all work and no play make Starfleet officers dull sorts, thankfully, there is more than enough diversions to enjoy. Starship duty is challenging both mentally and physically, so both humans and aliens have fun playing games. This goes for humans, Klingons, Romulans, Bajorans, Cardassians - the list goes on and on. How about the Borg? Well, they always have virtual games I suppose. Sports and games are a large part of Gene Roddenberry's universe.
Before the marvelous holodeck on Captain Picard's Enterprise, Kirk and crew had their gym and tridimensional chess matches. Bottom line: the Star Trek universe, while being serious and philosophical, is also all about having fun - while engaging in all of that serious play.

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight - The Female Changeling - Salome Jens
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine counts as second spin-off from the original TV series created by Gene Roddenberry. Documenting the exploits of a Starfleet crew stationed on a Cardassian space station operated by Bajorans, the show dealt in some of the more darker aspects of human and alien kind. The Bajoran Wormhole opened into the Gamma Quadrant - home to the most powerful group of beings in that part of the galaxy, the Changelings. After centuries of persecution, they organized into their own kind of protective Federation or the Dominion. The leader of these shape shifters is The Female Changeling - played by Salome Jens.
As a shape shifter, the Female Changeling isn't bound by a solid, permanent physical form or body. She - like all of her and Constable Odo's people - can nearly instantly morph themselves into any form imaginable. Besides her innate Changeling ability, actress Salome Jens (The Outer Limits) brings a sensual voice and authoritative manner to her character which makes her one of the most sexy Star Trek aliens of all time.

Mudd's Women - The Sexy Love Potion of Gene Roddenberry's Original Star Trek
One of the most compelling episodes of original Star Trek is Mudd's Women. Introducing Harry Mudd - who'd later guest in another memorable ep, I, Mudd - the tale dealt in the raw sexuality of 3 women. Harry was a con man, flim flam man or pimp - depending on your point of view - and he 'managed' three beautiful women in their social skills.
The tale posits the notion of these gals - escorts, companions, prostitutes, geisha, or all of them combined - mentored by the ever clever and profiteering Mudd. Harry Mudd's women took an aphrodisiac substance called the Venus Drug - making them alluring to men.

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight - The USS Defiant
Star Trek sex and sexy means beautiful starfleet officers, handsome starship commanders or exotic, other worldly aliens. But it also can mean things other than aliens or humanoids. Some of the most sexy aspects of Star Trek are the incredible hardware and vehicles of the future. On Deep Space Nine, a little ship called the USS Defiant was showcased as one of the most alluring of them all.
Co-designed by Benjamin Sisko and created to answer the dread Borg threat after the devastating encounter at Wolf 359 (The Best of Both Worlds), this tough, little ship could kick a lot of Borg butt and then some. And the Defiant always looked good doing it. Instead of going against the Borg, it was utilized very effectively against the Jem H'adar in the fight against The Dominion.

Star Trek Sexy Aliens - B'Elanna Torres - Roxann Dawson
Star Trek: Voyager is the third spin-off TV show from Gene Roddenberry's classic series. Focused on the Starfleet Starship Voyager, lost in space, and helmed by Captain Katherine Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), the show premiered on the UPN network in 1995. Among the crew was a half human, half Klingon woman - B'Elanna Torres, played by actress Roxann Dawson.
B'Elanna became the starship's Chief Engineer and her excellent tech skills managed to save the ship and crew on more than one occasion. One thing she constantly had to work on was her fiery temper.
The Klingon side of her would roar forth and Torres would do all she could to reign it back in and calm down. Eventually, she hooked up with the intrepid helmsman, Lt. Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeil) and they not only wed, but had a baby together.

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight - Saavik - Kirstie Alley
Star Trek gave Kirstie Alley her first feature film role in the Nicholas Meyer directed, Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan. Before she was stuffy corporate executive Rebecca Howe opposite Ted Danson in the now iconic sitcom, Cheers, she impressed us as an Enterprise officer. Playing Lt. Saavik, Alley fleshed out the beautiful, but reserved Starfleet officer, who was the able protege of Leonard Nimoy's Spock.
Alley was to reprise her role in the next Trek installment, Star Trek III: The Search For Spock, but reportedly asked for too much money to get back the plum gig. The now vacant part then went to actress Robin Curtis, who would also play Saavik in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Alley has since become an A List Hollywood star, though she's courted controversy over the years from everything to her weight and waistline to her Scientology affiliation and friendship with actor and co-star John Travolta (Look Who's Talking), but she's never far from the public's fascination and admiration.

A Sexy Star Trek Parody from MADtv
There have been a load of Star Trek parodies over the years. Saturday Night Live skewered the original series, The Simpsons went after the movies, and Family Guy has pretty much poked fun at everything Trek. But one parody on the comedy sketch show, MADtv, on Fox, was not only funny, but also pretty sexy.
Full of fun bits with Will Sasso as a porky Captain Kirk, the skit is a must for all Trek fans with a sense of humor. It has to rank as one of the funniest and most sex filled Star Trek parodies ever.

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: Losira - Lee Meriwether
I am for you, Jim Kirk. And so she was for many a man. In the classic Star Trek episode, That Which Survives, actress Lee Meriwether (Barnaby Jones) played a mysterious alien woman called Losira, When she appeared - literally materializing out of thin air - she would announce, "I am for you..." - naming her intended victim. Victim they were, for after she touched them, they died.
Beautiful actress Meriwether also played the comic book and catnip addicted Catwoman (replacing Julie Newmar) in the theatrical movie based on the campy 1960's Batman TV show - starring Adam West and Burt Ward. For television crime fans in the 1970's, she was part of the crime busting gang of the iconic TV series Barnaby Jones - starring veteran thespian Buddy Ebsen.

Spotlight On The Directors: Robert Wise - Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Robert Wise, the veteran director of so many feature film classics, like West Side Story, The Haunting and The Day The Earth Stood Still had his Hollywood work cut out for him. How to film a TV show that's a cult classic and do it justice on the silver screen for loyal fans while bringing in new ones?
Although critics moaned over the long running time and overload of visual FX (in today's bloated FX laden cinema, ST:TMP is standard to quaint fare), fans plunked down enough box office loot to make it a hit and justify the many installments to follow. In 2009, director JJ Abrams faced a similar challenge, and his reboot or re-imagination starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Eric Bana and Karl Urban soared to praise and profit.
The Human Adventure Is Just Beginning.
While being easy to dismiss as too visually oriented, too long or lacking emotional subtext, Wise helmed a movie dealing in both the physical and sexual needs of humanity and our more substantive emotional underpinnings. Lt. Ilia and her old flame Decker (Stephen Collins) exemplify just how complex a future could be where issues of interfaith or interracial couplings have been settled, but now a new variable challenges our notion of being human - one of interspecies joining. Ilia (Persis Khambatta) is a Deltan and her people employ sex as we would in celebration or greeting. Their sexuality is as much a part of their identity as their name or career. This romantic couple joined alongside by the struggle of Spock and Kirk to rectify and rekindle their own long, passionate friendship and professional relationship are more than enough of a humanity equation to savor and balance - if viewers only pay attention.
Ultimately, Wise made a film that he could be proud of, even though he didn't have enough time to finish the complex optical FX. Back then, the only computers capable enough to conjure up such visuals in the budget and production time scheduled were the fictional cyber circuits of the Starship Enterprise. In November 2001, Wise finally got the chance to see his finished film premiere in the Paramount Theatre of The Arts - complete with new digital FX which perfectly complimented the traditional film opticals of the 1970's era. It was subsequently released on a special edition DVD.

How A Star Trek Became A Sex Trek

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: Lt. Ilia - Persis Khambatta
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) marked the big screen debut of the TV show, and the return of original adventures of the Gene Roddenberry created universe. Directed by veteran movie maker Robert Wise (The Day The Earth Stood Still), critics and audiences ultimately had mixed reactions to the project, however, it was an undeniable box office success. Co-star Persis Khambatta played Lt. Ilia, a beautiful and bald alien called a Deltan.
Was she some kind of free love Hippy? A flower powered alien? Was she an extraterrestrial Hare Krishna?
Lt. Ilia hailed from a planet where sexual expression was as natural as breathing or eating. To express oneself openly in a sexual way was second nature to her people. Her bald look may be more acceptable today, but back in 1979, the look pretty much stunned moviegoers. For the first spin-off series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Roddenberry reshaped the character and created Counselor Deanna Troi - the thick haired beauty who boasted similar empathic powers and had a romantic connection to Commander William Riker. V'ger 'merged' Lt. Ilia and William Decker (Stephen Collins) through a kind of digital absorption and matrix. Who knows just where they ended up.

Star Trek Sexy Quotes
There are so many Star Trek sexy quotes. From the original series or TOS to TNG, or The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine (DS9) and Voyager (VOY), the dialogue is laden with great sexually charged moments. Starfleet starship captains like Kirk, Picard, Sisko and Janeway certainly have their moments when sexuality factored into their search for new lifeforms and the exploration of the galaxy.
More often than not, the sexy quotes came from aliens - of all kinds and descriptions. One thing is for sure - sexy Star Trek quotes are some of the more memorable parts of Gene Roddenberry's universe.
Star Trek - VINA
I can become anything, any woman you've ever imagined. You can have anything you want in the whole universe. Let me please you.
Star Trek: First Contact - Borg Queen
Are you familiar with physical forms of pleasure?
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Riker
What's a knockout like you doing in a computer generated gin joint like this?

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: Khan Noonien Singh - Ricardo Montalban
Star Trek sexy villains deliver both a sense of danger and even a sexual magnetism. Take The Borg Queen from Star Trek: First Contact: played by Alice Krige (Stephen King's Sleepwalkers), the Queen of those cybernetic zombies is both frightening and seductive. Before she tried to seduce Data by transforming him into a flesh and blood human - or at least something akin to one - there was a genetically enhanced human being from Earth - Khan. Played by Ricardo Montalban, the character defines the raw sexuality of Gene Roddenberry's universe.
First showcased in the memorable TOS episode, Space Seed, opposite actress Madlyn Rue, Khan was later utilized by producer Harve Bennett (The Bionic Woman) and director Nicholas Meyer (Time After Time) to fuel the villain flames of the iconic feature film, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. After a respected career in films and TV, Montalban became best known as the enigmatic Mr. Rourke on the classic TV show Fantasy Island. Khan may not have fulfilled anyone's fantasy, only gave a few of us nightmares, but the two characters definitely had charisma to spare.

Laugh, Love & Sex: The Comedy of Star Trek
There are more than a few of us who think funny people are sexy. Comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Howard Stern, Whoopi Goldberg, Tim Allen, Louis CK, Kathy Griffin and Joe Piscopo aren't exactly known for their classic good looks. But funny as sexy? They have laughs for their libido to spare.
On Star Trek: The Next Generation, Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost) played barkeep Guinan and Joe Piscopo (Saturday Night Live) guest starred as a wacky hologram in a holodeck program of Data's. Doing what else? Stand-up comedy of course! Set phasers on kill - as in you kill me!

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: Angelique Pettyjohn - Shahna The Drill Thrall
Star Trek sexy aliens come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes, they even come in the form of lovely gladiators. In the classic TOS episode, The Gamesters of Triskelion, the gladiator is known as a Drill Thrall and her name is Shahna - Angelique Pettyjohn.
Shana had cotton candy green hair years before punk rockers boasted their jade locks in the punk pop 1970's. Long before mixed martial arts MMA and the UFC, Shahna got down and dirty in the ring and usually prevailed. She was incredibly lovely, highly sexual, though mostly all business. She also could beat most anyone down with a really big stick. Ya gotta love such versatility.
The performer who created her, Angelique Pettyjohn, was definitely convincing at being a seductive character - so much so she could convincingly seduce a Starfleet officer. Later in her career, the exotic actress did a lot of B movies - including the cult classic Repo Man (Emilio Estevez) - she even did a few hardcore adult flicks.
Captain Kirk, because of his eternally demanding duty, had to deceive her, but in the end, he did try to teach her about love. Even though Shahna tried to gut good ole Kirk like a fish with her big can opener, it's clear that ultimately she had more than a soft spot for the Starfleet Starship Captain who tried to teach her all about love. Set phasers on the eternal struggle for true love!

Star Trek Sex excerpt
The Enemy Within - Stardate: 1672.1
Sexual Situation: Hedonism, Sexual Predator & Pathological Behavior
While exploring planet Alpha 177, a transporter accident splits Captain Kirk into two men. One remains civilized and uses his higher reasoning to continue to function as Enterprise Commander, the other shocks as a primitive minded, raging and living example of Freud’s concept of the Id. Time is running out - both for the away team marooned on a frozen planet, and the divided Captains, who are now devolving into more extreme versions of their base selves.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Larry Talbot and Wolfman. The Hulk & Bruce Banner.
The complex duality of the average human personality may not be as pronounced as these literary, Hollywood and comic book anti-heroes, but we all struggle with a sense of a divided self - at least at some point in our lives. Sprouting body hair and a nightmare overbite, bursting out of your clothes in a jade green roid rage, or downing a beaker of a potion and morphing into a hedonistic ogre is fun stage and screen sci-fi drama. Hulk smash!
James T. Kirk is not unlike any other hyper motivated, physically attractive, statistic shattering and brilliant Starship Captain. In fact, considering others made from the same mold like Captains Picard, Pike, Sisko and Janeway, it takes one highly disciplined individual - constantly in control of one’s emotions and impulses - to save planetary civilizations, negotiate with vastly more intelligent entities, and romance so many dynamic people. Despite that tightly maintained exterior, it doesn’t mean there isn't a chaotic, even self serving man or woman floating right below the surface just waiting to pop out. Apparently, the trick to exploiting such an A-Type personality to forging a successful career is to exert a tremendous force of balance over one’s baser instincts.
Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: The U.S.S. Enterprise
Who says Star Trek sex has to be all about humans, aliens and things which can't quite by quantified - yes, I'm looking at you, Mommy Horta from the TOS episode, Devil In The Dark. The simple truth is more than a few fans find the Starship Enterprise oh so sexy.
The Starship Enterprise is truly a ship of dreams.
Be it Captain Kirk's original Constitution class - his big screen version of the Enterprise class, NCC-1701-A, Captain Picard's Galaxy Class NCC-1701-D or his silver screen version, the Sovereign Class of NCC-1701-E, there's something undeniably alluring and seductive about a ship which travels many times the speed of light - while providing a crew with all the creature comforts of home - and then some. Holodeck private pleasure sessions? Check. Instantaneous transportation? Check. Matter replication (kinda like a super duper 3D printer) of nearly anything one can imagine? Check. A hip lounge with a cool listener host wearing funny hats named Guinan? Check!
No matter what flavor of starship you like or what era it hails from, the starships of Star Trek define sexy.

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: Kamala - Famke Janssen
Star Trek has showcased many an enigmatic, intriguing and downright sexy alien. Today, our sexy spotlight focuses on a Star Trek: The Next Generation character - Kamala.
Over the years, in the many shows and feature films, we've been treated to the green skinned girls from Orion in The Cage, played by the sexy Susan Oliver, the calculating, but scheming Vulcan T'Pring (Arlene Martel) of Amok Time, and of course the Borg brood mother that is the beginning, the end and the one who is many - The Borg Queen (Alice Krige) in Star Trek: First Contact. Representing for the guys, there was Khan, played by the charismatic Ricardo Montalban, the hot headed, raw sexuality of Security Chief Worf (Michael Dorn) of Enterprise 1701-D, and the Native American freedom fighter turned Starfleet Officer Chakotay (Robert Beltran) of ST: Voyager, among many others.
And on Star Trek: The Next Generation, there was the unforgettable alien geisha, Kamala - played by Famke Janssen - in the episode The Perfect Mate.
Famke Janssen boasts a kind of classic beauty like modern superstars Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie or Hollywood icon Kim Novak, best known for her role in Hitchcock's classic Vertigo - opposite Jimmy Stewart.
These days, she's one of the most in demand actresses in Hollywood. She's perhaps most known for fleshing out the fiery mutant Jean Grey, aka Phoenix, from the X-Men movies. Kamala lived up to her name - as the perfect companion to most any man in the galaxy. Many actors and actresses take on a role and we are impressed by their performance, with Janssen's turn as Kamala, we truly believe she could make anyone fall in love with her.
Could A Real Pleasure Planet Like Risa Be Popular?
Of all the fantastic planets that explorers in Star Trek have visited, perhaps the most fun - in terms of adult sexuality - is the pleasure planet known as Risa. Here, among scenic foliage and pristine beaches, the order of the day is pleasure - where most any kind of sexual description is enjoyed. Risa was first showcased in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, "Captain's Holiday" - where Picard had a pretty memorable adventure amid the seductive trappings of the hedonistic world.
We've had pleasure cruises and relaxing resorts for a long time here on planet Earth. Could an even more open and pleasurable place like Risa become popular among our own populace? Would the more religious minded or puritanical seek to forbid such a place? Even now, places like Disneyland and Las Vegas offer their adult visitors a much more mature kind of entertainment.
One thing's for sure: The tradition of displaying the horga'hn - or the Risian symbol of sexuality - will probably never go out of style to get desired action which the individual desires. On Risa, it ensures the one who displays it will get amorous attention from another. On Earth, our own notions of such similar sexual games are long on tradition - if not always on such public display.

Star Trek Sexy Spotlight: Lt. Uhura - Nichelle Nichols & Zoe Saldana
My eBook Star Trek Sex revolves around the sexual happenings, play and even the mere suggestions (and there are many) found in Gene Roddeberry's original sci-fi TV show. Covering the movies - right up to the J.J. Abrams' reboot - an adult and mature sexuality has always been part of the universe. One of the most classy, sophisticated and sexy characters is Lt. Uhura. Brought to life by the actress Nichelle Nichols and now played by Zoe Saldana in the feature film reboots, Uhura opened hailing frequencies as communications officer of Starship Enterprise, but always retained her considerable feminine charms.
Uhura remains a landmark Hollywood character in so many ways. No only was she an important part of the Enterprise crew, she's heralded as one of the first black TV characters to be an important part of the ensemble of a major television show. Even so, the iconic role and the journey getting there was not without a share of struggle. For a time, Nichols seriously considered quitting the show. She felt there was a lack of meaningful screen time for Uhura and that her character should have been more center stage. Why didn't she quit the program? None other than Martin Luther King Jr. talked her out of leaving the series.

Most Important Women of the Star Trek Universe
Gene Roddenberry's cosmic universe is populated by strange, new life forms - creatures and beings so advanced, so ultra complex in their biology that even Spock could only utter, "Fascinating" - without actually admiting he didnt' have a clue as to what Kirk's Enterprise had encountered.
Along the way, Captain Kirk's Enterprise, Picard's Enterprise, Sisko's DS9, Defiant and Captain Janeway's Starship Voyager engaged many unforgettable aliens. Among them were some very sexy and memorable ladies.

Alice Krige - The Borg Queen - Sexiest Borg Mom of Star Trek
I am the beginning... the end... the one who is many. I am the Borg. Alice Krige is The Borg Queen of Star Trek.
South African actress Alice Krige fleshed out the seductive temptress The Borg Queen in the feature film Star Trek: First Contact, directed by Jonathan Frakes - Will Riker himself. She time warped back to the past to wreck havoc on Earth, tried to stop Zephram Cochrane's historic first warp drive launch and almost assimilated the crew of Captain Picard's (Locutus) Enterprise into her Borg brood.
She very nearly succeeded in tempting Data with the pleasures of the flesh - if only for a scant few microseconds.
